The wait is over! The actress Kathy Griffin is back on the road with dates for her new show My Life on the PTSD-List | Just for Laughs

Background: Kathy Griffin, Just for Laughs and the touring comedy circuit

The tour referenced here was announced in late 2023, with dates running into 2024, so it should be read as past news rather than an upcoming schedule. What remains useful is the context behind it. Kathy Griffin built her reputation on confessional, gossip-driven stand-up that draws on her own encounters with celebrity culture. Her long-running reality series My Life on the D-List won Emmy awards, and the title of the later show plays on that earlier brand. The shift from "D-List" to "PTSD-List" signalled a more personal set, shaped by the difficult years she has spoken about publicly, including career setbacks and health challenges.

Just for Laughs, the Montreal-based comedy organisation behind the announcement, is best known for its summer festival. It is one of the largest comedy events in the world and has also become a major promoter of touring shows across North America. When a comedian tours under its banner, the dates usually include mid-sized theatres and concert halls rather than small clubs. Toronto's Meridian Arts Centre, whose Weston Recital Hall was among the listed venues, is a typical example.

Why it matters to audiences in Toluca

English-language stand-up tours rarely stop in the State of Mexico. Fans in Toluca who follow international comedians usually look to Mexico City, where large venues sometimes host touring acts, or they travel abroad. A few practical habits help anyone planning to see a touring performer:

• Confirm dates only through the performer's or promoter's official channels, because resale listings can outlive cancelled or past shows.
• Expect stand-up to be performed in its original language with no translation, and check age guidance, since comedy of this kind is often aimed at adults.
• Factor in transport between Toluca and the capital, especially for late evening shows.
